ABSTRACT. Equilibrium conditions on non-isolated systems are applied to an
analysis of the thermodynamic state of homogeneous reacting systems. The closed
set of equations discussed in the paper makes it possible not only to calculate
all the thermodynamic characteristics of the reacting system but also to give a
graphic interpretation of the thermodynamic processes in reacting systems
analogous to that of the phase transitions in pure substances. Shown is that
the equilibrium conditions obtained generalize the known results for idealized
models of complex systems. In particular, no notices are required to be
introduced, such as fugitiveness, activity, etc., in order to determine the
equilibrium constant.
