ABSTRACT. The three-dimensional steady-state problem of an obliquely incidence
plane acoustic pressure wave scattered by a circular cylindrical shell is
considered. The computation is carried out for an aluminium shell with h 1 - b
/a = 1/32, which is immersed in water over a broad frequency range 0 x ka
400. The far field form function and the resonance components of partial modes
are calculated and analyzed. In the considered frequency range at the angle of
incidence 10 the Lambtype peripheral waves So, A1, the shear waves To and
T1 and the bending wave A are generated in the shell by the incident wave. For
each of them the resonance frequencies are found. the dispersion curves of the
phase velocities of the A, A1 and T1 waves are calculated abd dependencies of
them on the angle of incidence is investigated. With increasing, each of the
resonance frequencies is shifted to the right. Also the positions of the
resonance frequencies have been found from the solutions of model problems on
waves in a plane layer.
