Dear lecturers, master and PhD students !

TEMPUS JEP-6145, CS & IT Education Development Center for Estonian Universities (CIDEC) will organize on March 3-8, 1996 a winter school

NEW TRENDS IN
COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The idea of the school is to give to Estonian M & PhD students insight into today's research topics of computer science and information technology in order to provide students the state of art in the field.

PLACE:Pühajärve, Otepää, Estonia

The school will be held at Pühajärve, a small village about 30 km South from Tartu. It is located near the small lake and surrounded with beautiful landscape. We hope that during the time there will be enough snow for skiing.


(Lecturers) Invited speakers, lecturers from partner universities of JEP-06145, will give talks (approx. 7 hours per day) introducing their own research fields or novel courses given at their home universities on new research results.

(Papers) Another part of the school is intended for the STUDENTS' PRESENTATIONS of their research.

The advisory commission consisting of invited lecturers and professors of Estonian universities will evaluate students' presentations. The best presentation will be AWARDED! The evaluation of Estonian students will be accepted by the universities as yearly assessment of advisory commission.


NB! Participants get organised travel from Tallinn (via Tartu), accommodation and meals for 5 days. Limited number of places. Graduate and PhD students giving presentations are preferred.
